Description
Surveys the wisdom literature of the Old Testament, covering principally Job, Proverbs, and Ecclesiastes. It will address the role of wisdom in Israelite religion and culture. Comparison will be made with ancient Near Eastern parallels and deuterocanonical wisdom texts. Prerequisites: BSTH 101, 102, 201.
